TERESE GENECCO AT THE EMPIRE PLUSH ROOM

) welcomes award-winning cabaret and jazz artist Terese Genecco in her
return engagement at San Francisco's premiere cabaret venue Thursday
May 31st through Saturday June 9th.
Terese Genecco presents her all-new musical creation,
Alone Together, an intimate celebration of the music of Arthur Schwartz,
featuring Bistro Award-winning arranger/composer/conductor, Mike Greensill
at the grand piano on Thursday & Friday, May 31st & June 1st at 8:00
pm, Sunday June 3rd at 7:00 pm, and Wednesday through Friday, June
6th through 8th at 8:00 pm. Mike Greensill will be featured on piano
along with Jack Costanzo, Frances Faye's original Latin Percussionist
on her Live LP, "Caught In The Act," recorded on the GNP Crescendo
Record Label, in 1958.
On Saturdays, June 2nd at 8:00 pm and June 9th at 8:00
& 10th pm Terese will present performances of her award-winning, Drunk
with Love: A Tribute to Frances Faye. The June 2nd performance will
include a CD release party. Mike Greensill will be featured on piano
and the show will also feature Terese's own "Little Big Band," including
Max Perkoff and Derrik James on trombone, Rich Armstrong on trumpet,
Fil Lorenz on tenor sax, John Wiitala and Fred Randolph on bass, Randy
Odell on drums, and Jacob Lawlor on Latin Percussion.
The Bay Area's reigning "Entertainer of the Year," Genecco
is a 2006 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) nominee
for Best Debut Performance, and a 2007 Backstage Bistro Award Winner
for Best Tribute Show. Her musical creation, Drunk with Love: A Tribute
to Frances Faye opened at the New Conservatory Theatre Center in July
2005, and ran for five consecutive weeks, before moving to New York
City for performances at The Encore Showroom, Jazz at Lincoln Center,
The Iridium Jazz Club, and multiple headlining engagements at the
swanky Manhattan nightclub newcomer, The Metropolitan Room. It was
recently named one of the Top Ten Best Cabaret Shows of 2006 by Time
Out Magazine in New York.
Genecco has performed in numerous major venues around
Bay Area, New York and Los Angeles. In addition to her concert engagements,
she was the lead singer and guitarist in the all-girl rock band, TREMR;
she penned a full-length stage play, "The Quarry," (which was produced
at Pyramid Theater in Rochester, NY); and has written and performed
stand-up comedy and spoken-word poetry.
