). The COLLAGE Tour Celebrates the release of a debut CD released
on PS Classics.
Drawing from her Slovak roots, classical training,
Broadway background and intergrated pop, jazz and Latin rhythms¨s
sensibility, Luba Mason has created a debut recording that accurately
reflects the highly eclectic nature of the artist herself. Collage
is a musical hybrid perfected for the new millennium.
The Collage collection is a labor of love for Luba,
a native New Yorker, who spent her early youth devoted to training
in classical voice, piano and dance. The early artistic passion
of Luba, a first generation American, born to Slovak parents, paid
off, with her early acceptance to the Circle In The Square Theatre
School and New York University¨s Tisch School of the Arts.
Luba most recently starred on Broadway in the musical
Chicago as Velma Kelly. Previously, Luba earned starring roles on
Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde, How To Succeed In Business Without Really
Trying (opposite Matthew Broderick), Paul Simon¨s The Capeman, Trevor
Nunn¨s Sunset Boulevard and the Tony winning The Will Rogers Follies,
directed by Tommy Tune. Recently, she starred opposite Val Kimer
in the American premiere of The Ten Commandments at the Kodak Theatre
in Los Angeled. She is also no stranger to cabaret, having performed
in sold out shows at LA's famed Cinegrill and Vibrato clubs, New
York's Opia and headlined two highly successful nightclub revues
at New York's Cafe Versailles.
