DC TRANSPLANT TO PERFORM FEATURED MONOLOGUE IN ANNUAL V-DAY
SHOW
Cabaret vocalist/pianist Helen Day will be doing a featured monologue
in "The Vagina Monologues," by Eve Ensler on Saturday, March 31st at
the HOUSE OF BLUES (225 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA - 504-310-4999
- http://www.HOB.com/neworleans/
) at 9:00 pm, proceeds to benefit The Metropolitan Center for Women
and Children Tickets are $18.
Others performing in the show are Rachelle Smith, Kelly Nicholas, Robyn
Loda, Diana Boylston, Jeandelle Frank and Melissa Guerra. Musical director
is Kristina Denapolis. V-Day is celebrated every year in New Orleans,
where the play is performed by colleges, universities, and the House
of Blues ensemble. In addition, New Orleans' singer/songwriter Mike
True will perform special song written especially for the play.
Helen Day was a long-time fixture in the Washington,
DC music scene and moved to New Orleans in 2005. She also performs
every Friday evening at the BAYOU ROOM of the HOTEL PONTCHARTRAIN

) from 7:45 to 9:00 p.m. providing the foreplay for New Orleans entertainer,
