John
McDaniel Announces Release of Second Solo CD, "John McDaniel at
the Piano: Christmas"

Proceeds to Go to Charity;
Available Exclusively at http://wwwJohnMcDaniel.com/.
Conductor,
composer, arranger and Grammy Award-winning record producer John McDaniel,
known to millions for his daily gig as Music Director of "The Rosie
O'Donnell Show," has announced the release of his second CD, "John
McDaniel at the Piano: Christmas."
A loving and diverse tribute
to the Great White Way, "McDaniel at the Piano" offers up a grab-bag
of holiday treats Ü selections plucked from John's favorite holiday
classics. The collection includes everything from a heartwarming rendition
of "I'll Be Home For Christmas," to John Lennon's prayer for peace,
"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)". John's mother, Jane McDaniel joined him
for a beautiful duet on "Walking In The Air," and his English Cocker
Spaniels Joanne and Hillary even make a cameo appearance! Acting as
both producer and performer, McDaniel lends his special touch to these
magical melodies. McDaniel will devote a portion of the proceeds from
the CD to "The Robin Hood Relief Fund," established to help victims
of The World Trade Center attacks.
In addition to John's
solo efforts, his work has appeared on several other recordings; in
fact, his work as producer on the Broadway Cast Album of "Annie Get
Your Gun" won him his first Grammy Award. He also conducted the Broadway
Cast Albums of "Grease" with Rosie O'Donnell and Brooke Shields, played,
conducted and arranged on "Patti LuPone, Live!," and conducted several
tracks on Davis Gaines' solo debut, "Against the Tide."
"John McDaniel at the
Piano: Christmas" will be distributed exclusively through McDaniel's
recently-launched website,
http://www.JohnMcDaniel.com/. Other features of the site include
the latest on McDaniel's life as a conductor and musical director,
concert dates, upcoming projects, and up-to-the-minute biographical
information.
John McDaniel added Emmy
Award winner to his list of credits this year for his work on "The
Rosie O'Donnell Show." In addition to his work on television, he is
currently the Supervising Music Director of Broadway's revival of
"Annie Get Your Gun," winner of the 1999 Tony award for Best Revival
of a Musical. He has also been a featured pops conductor with many
symphony orchestras nationwide (including the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra
and the Buffalo Philharmonic, among others).
