& Cabaret Singer Mychelle Colleary Celebrates the release of her
new CD "After Hours at the Plush Room"
Mychelle
Colleary will celebrate the release of her first full-length solo
CD, "After Hours at The Plush Room" on Sunday, March 31st at 7:30
pm at THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco,
CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.plushroom.com/).
There is a $20 cover charge, 2-drink minimum.
The CD was actually recorded
late one night at the Plush Room - San Francisco's premiere venue
for jazz and cabaret. Joined by Kelly Park at the piano, Mychelle
will be presenting selections from her CD as well as tales from her
current stint in NYC. Mychelle will also be appearing at THE BUBBLE
LOUNGE (714 Montgomery Street, SF - 415-434-4204) on Tuesday, April
2nd from 9:00 pm to midnight.
Mychelle has shared the
stage with such jazz greats as Bobby McFerrin, Richie Cole, Claire
Fisher and Carl Anderson. Bay area audiences have heard her perform
folk-rock at the Fillmore, Turkish Sufi music at the Palace of fine
Arts, jazz & cabaret at the Plush room and Bach with the San Jose
Symphony.
In 2000 Mychelle wrote
and performed her show BLINDSPOTS AND BEVERAGES to critical acclaim.
In 2001 she wrote and performed WHAT IF THE HOKEY POKEY IS WHAT IT'S
ALL ABOUT? She hosted the ongoing "Song of the Month Club" at MARTUNI'S
(4 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-241-0205), performed with
The Kitchenettes a female vocal trio, and has performed at Teddy Cares
benefits each December for the last 2 years in San Francisco.
Mychelle is currently
working in NYC where she brings her WHAT IF THE HOKEY POKEY IS WHAT
