AWARD-WINNING SINGER SCOTT COULTER PERFORMANCE AND CD RELEASE PARTY AT DON'T TELL MAMA FEBRUARY 4th

On Monday, February 4th at 9:00 pm, Scott Coulter, the 2 time MAC-Award (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) and BACK STAGE Bistro Award-winning vocalist, will officially celebrate the release of his debut solo CD with a performance and party at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmamanyc.com/). This event will be open to the public. There will be a $10 cover charge and a two-drink minimum for the performance. A reception will immediately follow.

Coulter will sing songs from the CD interspersed with other favorites. He will be joined by Tony Award-winner Debbie Gravitte on the Stephen Schwartz cut from the CD "In Whatever Time We Have" (a duet, from Schwartz's "Children of Eden"). He will also perform "Nobody's Side," the international hit from the Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Tim Rice musical "Chess" with back up vocals by Jessica Hendy and Jason Reiff. Songwriter Tim DiPasqua will be there to play his own composition featured on the CD, the moving "Maybe You Didn't Hear Me," for Coulter.

Mr. Coulter, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, toured the country as Jinx in "Forever Plaid" and was in the world premiere of "Floyd Collins" directed by Tina Landau at the American Music Theatre Festival. His regional theatre credits include "Into the Woods," "In Trousers," "Cotton Patch Gospel," "Pump Boys and Dinettes" and Kansas City's Unicorn Theatre production of "As Bees in Honey Drown."

For his work in cabaret, he was awarded both the 2001 Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) Award and the 2001 Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Male Vocalist for his solo show "Changing Stories." He received a 1997 Bistro Award for the revue "Get Your Tickets Now!" and his debut solo show, "Remember the Magic," won the 1998 MAC Award for Male Debut. Time Out New York picked Coulter's solo show "Unexpected Songs" as one of the Best of 1999.

In New York he has performed at The Algonquin, Town Hall, Don't Tell Mama, The FireBird Cafe, Eighty Eight's, and Arci's Place. Since the late 90s he has performed with the award-winning songwriting duo Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich in their many revues around the country and is currently touring with composer Stephen Schwartz, Debbie Gravitte and Liz Callaway in the revue "Stephen Schwartz & Friends."
