AUSTRALIAN CABARET STAR MELISSA LANGTON RELEASES DEBUT CD

Australian cabaret star, Melissa Langton, will celebrate the release of her debut CD, "When The Rain Falls Up," with a launch at CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL in Melbourne, Australia on November 5th and a two-week season of her new show, "Me And Mr. Jones," from November 15th. The CD features an eclectic mix of material from show tunes to pop classics, with Mark Jones as Musical Director and guest appearances by Kane Alexander and vocal group Tripod.

Melissa has been performing professionally since 1992. Her stage credits include JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR - THE CONCERT, LES MISERABLES and MARRY ME A LITTLE. As part of the popular vocal group The Fabulous Singlettes, she appeared in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, THE MIKADO and HMS PINAFORE in Australia and New Zealand.

Over the past four years Melissa has been performing with the original Fabulous Singlettes (Naomi Eyers and Lisa Shipley) in Germany and Australia. Her own cabaret shows have brought her a legion of loyal fans and in 2001 she won the prestigious Sydney Cabaret Convention.

In October this year, Melissa appeared at The New York Cabaret Convention and performed her show "What Do You Think Of Me So Far???" at the popular New York cabaret venue DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmamanyc.com/) with 2002 Sydney Cabaret Convention winner, Maryanne McCormack.
