Peggy Herman Celebrates Release of New CD, "Mercer and more..."

Internationally acclaimed singer Peggy Herman returns to the Manhattan club scene on Saturday, October 4th from 8:00 to 10:00 pm in a very special one-night-only appearance at Manhattan's chic KING KONG ROOM at the Supper Club (240 West 47th Street, NYC - 1-212-921-1904 - http://www.KingKongRoom.com/). Peggy will celebrate the release of her brand new CD, "Mercer and more...".žPeggy will be accompanied by her musical director Alex Rybeck on piano, Jared Egan on bass.žThere will be complimentary hors d'eurves and a cash bar. Peggy will sing excerpts from her exciting new CD in what is sure to be a special occasion. There is no cover charge - cash bar. Reservations are strongly advised.

A Philadelphia native, Peggy, who was operatically trained, worked with Joan Sutherland and Luciano Pavarotti. She found her true love in the world of standards. Best known for her unique interpretations, Peggy has traveled the world entertaining at top venues. The last several years she has enjoyed the high seas and been the featured artist on five-star cruises on Cunard and Royal Viking Lines. Performing at major resorts around the country, she has opened for the likes of Phyllis Diller, Alan King, Milton Berle and Bob Hope. A veteran of shows like "Nunsense" and "South Pacific," Peggy also has roots in musical theater. She has appeared to critical acclaim at legendary Eighty Eight's in Manhattan and has appeared as part of the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at the Town Hall. She will appear again this year at the convention on Thursday, October 23rd.
