PAM TATE CD RELEASE AT THE DUPLEX

2003 MAC Award nominee Pam Tate celebrates the release of her new CD "Something Wonderful" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/) on Tuesdays, December 2nd & 9th at 7:00 pm. A reception preceeds the show at 6:15 pm. The release show features the CDs original musicians, Tedd Firth on piano, Ritt Henn on bass, Rex Benincasa on drums and percussion. The show is directed by Erv Raible. The $15.00 music charge includes the show, snacks, and a copy of the new CD. There will be a 2-drink minimum.

Pam's new CD features a sophisticated jazz mix, ranging from classic to contemporary pop, from Rodgers & Hammerstein, Jacques Brel, Cy Coleman & Dorothy Fields to Milton Nascimento, Kander & Ebb, and Sting.

Pam recently thrilled audiences at the November MAC/ASCAP Songwriters Showcase with "Going As We Go" (Music: Tate & Lyrics: Jude Treder-Wolff); and prior to this with "Bar Mitzvah Shiksa Mamma" (Music: Tate & Lyrics: Raible & Tate), and her debut show "Love Lost and Found ¬ Pam Tate Sings Pam Tate."

Ms. Tate made her return to the cabaret stage in spring 2002 as part of the ensemble of Erv Raible's critically acclaimed "September 11, 2001 ... The Musical Response." As a BMI songwriter Pam has produced two CDs of original music, the bluesy "Die Happy" and the pop-rockish "Dancing On The Pyramids," both to international rave reviews. As an award winning writer Pam has written full-length and one-act plays, including "Pure Art: A Play About Leni Riefensthal," which won The National Women's Playwriting contest; three feature length screenplays; and dramatic monologues including "Rogue Women: Pirates, Soldiers and Spies," for The National Museum of Women's History.
