John Vance Releases Debut CD at THE GARDENIA

Erawan Records will present John Vance in the CD Release of his first album, "IT'S ALL RIGHT WITH ME" on Thursdays, October 2nd and 16th at 9:00 pm at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444). He will be joined by Jeff Colella, musical director and pianist, Randy Landas, on bass and Rod Harbour on drums. John Vance, a highly regarded character actor and singer, will perform selections from his CD in a 60-minute show featuring favorite jazz standards from the 1930s - 1960s. Admission is $15.00 per person, with an additional $10.00 food and/or drink minimum per person. Dinner is served from 7:00 pm.

Mr. Vance is originally from Arlington, VA. He has worked in Los Angeles as a singer in venues like the Cinegrill, The Horn (in Santa Monica), Bernie's (in Westwood) and On Broadway (in Santa Monica). Vance has performed along with Jack Jones and Kaye Starr as part of the 1988 Emmy-nominated PBS show, "The Glenn Miller Band Reunion."

The son of a former CIA Agent who was born in Frankfurt, Germany, Mr. Vance has lived and traveled around the world with his family, from Paris to Bangkok. Vance is a highly respected character actor in Hollywood. He most recently completed filming for a co-starring role on the hit Fox sitcom, "Malcolm in the Middle, " in an episode entitled, "Goodbye Kitty, " (slated to air in mid-November 2003), in which he plays Malcolm's school teacher from Hell.

He can also currently be seen as Dr. Harry Hand, playing opposite Lizzy Kaplan ("The Pitts" & "Freaks and Geeks") in a short-comedy filmed for the American Film Institute, entitled "Hardcore Action News." The film has been screened and won numerous awards on the film festival circuit this year.
