SECOND CHANCE, Brent Winborn's debut CD Released

Purl Churl Music in association with The Doctor is in Music announce the release of Brent Winborn's debut CD, SECOND CHANCE. The release will be celebrated with a gala event by invitation only on Sunday March 2nd at REGENTS (317 East 53rd Street, NYC - 212-593-3091) on Manhattan's Upper East Side, in the brand new cabaret venue hosted by Broadway and cabaret performer Kelly Briggs. SECOND CHANCE is an exciting assortment of songs varying in style from 60s pop to 50s rock and roll, from Broadway showtunes to Spanish bolero. The songs include, "Time After Time," "We Kiss in a Shadow" and "Rainy Days & Mondays." Composers represented on the album range from Rodgers and Hammerstein and Jule Styne to the Pet Shop Boys and Kim Carnes. The theme of the CD, as the title suggests, is exploring the opportunities and choices life presents.

Winborn is no stranger to the New York cabaret scene. He has performed to sold-out audiences at Manhattan institutions Eighty Eight's and Don't Tell Mama. In addition, he introduced his original composition "Good Fortune," featured on SECOND CHANCE, in November 2002 at the MAC/ASCAP Songwritersą Showcase.

Musical arrangements for the CD are by 3-time MAC award winner Rick Jensen who also sings and plays keyboards on the album. Other musicians featured in the album are Peter Calo, guitar artist for Carly Simon and Linda Eder, Jack Bashkow and Dan Levine from the Broadway orchestras of "Hairspray" and "The Producers" and the vocal talents of Russ Jones from the recent Broadway revival of "My Fair Lady."
