BENN BENNETT AND WES SNELLING IN BLACK BAG
The explosive talents of Benn Bennett and Wes Snelling merge in BLACK BAG, a vivaciously dark, witty and wonderfully contaminating musical comedy at FORTYFIVEDOWNSTAIRS (45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, NSW, AUS - 03 9662 9966 - http://www.fortyfivedownstairs.com/ ) as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2008. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 6:00 pm through April 12th. BLACK BAG is an engaging character driven adventure into the world of two siblings. Left to fend for themselves in their Frankfurt household, Maximillian finds solace in music and reigning over his younger brother Dominic-a. After years of repression, Dominic-a escapes to Hobart in pursuit of his dream to sing. He soon discovers that there really is no place like home.

The show combines original songs with reworked classics by Martika, Michael Jackson and Men At Work. With strong affection, BLACK BAG was a sell-out success of Melbourne Fringe 2007. Bennett and Snelling take comedy, music, and theatre to a new level. There's high brow, there's low brow, and somewhere in between sits the BLACK BAG.

BLACK BAG with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2008 is developed with the assistance of Dramaturge Paul Horan and Lighting Designer Russell Snelling.
