PAT FITZPATRICK BRINGS ACCLAIMED SHOW TO CAPE COD IN JANUARY
Patricia Fitzpatrick brings her acclaimed show "Single, Again - and
this time it's not my fault!" to Cape Cod's THE ORLEANS INN (Route 6
A, Orleans, MA - 508-255-2222 - http://www.orleansinn.com/
) for one night only on Saturday January 26th at 8:00 pm. She is joined
on stage by Brian Patton, her musical director and arranger. Pat premiered
this show in November at NYC's famed DON'T TELL MAMA to rave reviews.
The show is a poignant, yet funny look at an 'older woman' looking to
re=enter the world of dating after three years of being a widow. It
features "music you know, presented in a new way." Cover is $20 per
person ($35 per couple) with no minimum.
Fitzpatrick and Patton are regulars on the Boston cabaret
scene. Both members of BACA they met during the Provincetown CabaretFest's
produced by Boston's John O'Neil. Patton, who usually performs with
Mary Callanan is boyish and charming as the foil for Fitzpatrick's
sharp wit. Patton has performed at the best of the best Provincetown
and Boston cabaret clubs and got his start in the 'business' as a
music teacher. As a performer he shines at wether he is playing the
piano or singing.
Fitzpatrick's smoky vocals and humor served her well
when she headlined at the former Playboy CLubs in the mid west. Fitzpatrick
was a member of the WJR "Make Way for Youth' radio show in the late
1950's and gave up the profession to raise a family. She reentered
the world of cabaret in 2000. she won a Cabaret Award for her "My
name is Peggy Lee" Show in Provincetown in 2002.
Fitzpatrick writes and directs her own cabaret shows,
selecting the music, theme and patter. She also writes and directs
murder mystery shows throughout NY state and New England.
