BECKIE & TOM PRESENT POSTCARDS FROM THE ROAD IN APRIL
2007 After Dark Award Winners (Outstanding Cabaret Artists) Beckie Menzie
& Tom Michael present their brand new show "Postcards from the Road
- The Travel Show" at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago,

) every Saturday in April April 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th, all shows
at 8:00 pm. Menzie & Michael, a critically-acclaimed Chicago duo, will
musically explore the adventure and wonder of traveling to far-away
places as well as the universal travel nightmares of flight-delays,
traffic jams and sea-sickness. The show will feature such classics as
"Sentimental Journey," "April in Paris," "Leaving On a Jet Plane" and
"You Belong to Me." along with more contemporary songs such as "Celebrate
Me Home" and "Damn this Traffic Jam."
From Hong Kong to Houston, and from Michigan to Montserrat,
Menzie & Michael's diverse touring schedule has taken them to some
very prestigious stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln
Center. Their recording efforts have been praised by Billboard Magazine,
BackStage, Show Business Weekly, and Playbill. Their latest CD 'Better
Two-Gether' has been hailed by critics as "magic", "sensational",
and "…the year's best recording."
Known for their imaginative twists on jazz favorites,
standards, contemporary pop, Broadway show tunes and film gems, they
have won audience and critical acclaim across the country and around
the globe.
