Singer/lyricist Mark Winkler teams up with jazz vocalist Mary Foster

) for one night only on Saturday, March 22nd at 9:00 pm.
Mark is in the studio working on a new CD, so the evening should
prove to be a fun collection of old and new, as the pair explore the
world beyond Matt Dennis and Bobby Troup. Mark Winkler is an award
winning singer/lyricist who has had his tunes covered by such artists
as Dianne Reeves, Randy Crawford, Liza Minnelli and Nancy Wilson.
He has written over 350 songs, writing lyrics with such esteemed composers
as Joe Sample, Wayne Shorter, David Benoit and David Pomeranz. He
has released 9 CDs in the United States, the latest being, MARK WINKLER
SINGS BOBBY TROUP which is a loving tribute to the hip California
composer.
Mary Foster Conklin is a vocalist with Art Lillard's 15-piece Heavenly
Band, and can be heard on his latest recording REASONS TO BE THANKFUL,
on Summit Records. She is a three-time MAC Award winner, a three-time
Backstage Bistro Award winner, and recipient of 2007 MAC Award for
Jazz Recording of the Year for her tribute to Matt Dennis, BLUES FOR
BREAKFAST on Rhombus Records.
