Sharon McNight makes her eagerly awaited return to New York City on
Friday & Saturday, April 25th & 26th at 10:00 at THE METROPOLITAN

) with a salute to the late great character women of the stage and
screen. Among those honored will be Martha Raye, the Ozark Nightingale
Judy Canova, Pearl Bailey, Hildegarde, Ethels - Merman and Waters,
Patsy Cline, and Madeline Kahn.
Sharon's previous projects were "Betty, Betty, Bette",
celebrating screen legends Grable,Hutton, and Davis, and her one
woman Off-Broadway show based on the life of show business legend
Sophie Tucker which McNight scripted. Sharon made her Broadway debut
in "Starmites" in 1989, creating the role of Diva, garnering a Tony
Award nomination, a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway
Debut, and a Hirshfeld caricature.
Sharon has played from Moose Hall to Carnegie Hall,
from Los Angeles to Berlin. She has won six San Francisco Cabaret
Gold awards, 3 Cable Car awards, a MAC award, a Bistro award, and
received a Nightlife award from New York's critics for Best Musical
Comedy show, "Ladies, Compose Yourselves!". Her eclectic repertory
ranges from blues to country to good old-fashioned entertainment.
She is known for her rendition of "The Wizard of OZ" and is one
of the few real women to impersonate Bette Davis. She is a member
of the faculty of Cabaret Symposium at Yale University. The greatest
day of her life was the day she quit smoking.
There is a $20 cover plus a $15 minimum.
