CABARET NEWS - NEW YORK CITY

DEANNA NEIL EXPLORES BEDTIME IN "ENTER NIGHT" AT MAMA'S
Deanna Neil will be performing her show, "Enter Night - An exploration of bedtime" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmamanyc.com/ ) on Thursday, April 17th at 8:30 pm; Friday, May 2nd at 8:30 pm; and Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00 pm. The songs in ENTER NIGHT span genres from The White Stripes to Cole Porter and even an original number by Ms. Neil. Musical Direction and Accompaniment by Brian Gelfand with Dave Romano on bass and Dan Vonnegut on drums. Director is Jessica Redish.

In "Enter Night," Ms. Neil explores how evening moods change as we get older - from gentle lullabies to screaming nightmares, to seductive selections for lovers and how some feelings of night remain universal. Interspersed audio interviews with strangers highlight this universal element, adding a fresh multicultural and multimedia dimension to accompany Ms. Neil's personal stories and humorous banter.

Ms. Neil is a singer, actress, writer and radio go-to girl. With a four-octave range, full, rich high notes (to a high F) and a powerful belt, Ms. Neil has been called one of the greatest undiscovered sopranos.

There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
