CHRISTOPHER CROSS MAKES CAFE CARLYLE DEBUT

) is pleased to announce the debut engagement of Grammy Award-winning
singer/songwriter Christopher Cross in a limited four-week engagement
in the newly restored Cafe Carlyle. Mr. Cross, accompanying himself
on guitar and supported by piano and saxophone, will present an evening
of refreshing contemporary music, including many of his signature
songs from his seven albums. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays,
April 15th through May 10th. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday
at 8:45 pm with late shows on Fridays & Saturdays at 10:45 pm.
Best known for co-penning and performing "Arthur's
Theme (Best That You Can Do)" for the film "Arthur," Mr. Cross virtually
defined adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly sophisticated
songs including the chart-topping "Sailing." Named "Best New Artist"
at the 1981 Grammy Awards, he was the recipient of a record 5 Grammy
Awards, including "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year." He
took home the 1981 Oscar for Song of the Year for "Arthur's Theme."
Christopher Cross is an Award-winning American singer-songwriter
from San Antonio, Texas. His debut album earned him the accomplishment
of the "Big Four" Grammy Awards, a feat that still hasn't been broken
since then. He also received an Oscar and a Golden Globe relating
to his work with music in hit films.
