NEW "HARLANS CABARET" IN NEW HOPE BRINGS THE STARS TO BUCKS
COUNTY
In keeping with its commitment to bring the stars back to Bucks County,
HARLANS - THE NEVERMORE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 215-862-5225
- http://www.harlanscabaret.com/
), the premier supper club in New Hope, has named Elissa Patterson as
Creative Director. Along with her husband, Ross Patterson, acclaimed
musical director and arranger for the "Broadway by the Year" series
at Town Hall in New York City, Elissa Patterson will relocate from Manhattan
to Bucks County for the position.
Ms. Patterson will oversee all aspects of entertainment
at the New York-style supper club and is especially focused on bringing
the top names in cabaret performers from around the country to Harlans.
Harlans opening weekend, Friday & Saturday, February 29th & March
1st will feature Andrea Marcovicci, more famously known in the performance
world as the Queen of Cabaret. Showtime is 8:00 pm. Harlans Cabaret
will debut with this celebrated production. Call for cover/minimum
information.
Future performers include Lari White (March 7th & 8th),
Emily Skinner (March 14th & 15th), Karen Mason (March 21st & 22nd),
Chuck Cooper (March 28th & 29th and Klea Blackhurst (April 4th & 5th).
Patterson's own career places her in prime position
to meet this challenge. She brings with her a long list of credentials
in the music, theater and television industries. As an actor, she
has performed on and off Broadway, including in Richard Rogers' I
Remember Mama as well as in television guest roles. As a producer,
Patterson was awarded both an Emmy and a Peabody for HBO's Classical
Baby in 2005.
Her work as a casting director at Paramount Pictures
and at Disney Productions, and her efforts as director and producer
of a variety of theatrical productions led, in 2002, to the formation
of a development and production company, Three Little Chicks. TLC
specializes in creating high quality music programming for children.
Along with her TLC partners, Patterson has produced television programs
that include HBO's Emmy-winning Classical Baby. She will soon release
a documentary film about four extraordinary teenagers and is excited
about an up and coming collaboration with Emmy award-winning performer
and producer, Kevin Clash (a.k.a. Sesame Street's Elmo)
This wealth of successful activities in many areas of
the performing arts has given Patterson both the experience and the
contacts to identify and attract the top names in cabaret singers
to Harlans.
