WESLA WHITFIELD KICKS OFF APRIL PERFORMANCE SERIES
Patti Lopez, in association with Esses Productions, is producing the
inaugural STEINWAY CABARET SERIES at THE STEINWAY ROOM at SHERMAN CLAY
(1388 Locust Street, Walnut Creek, CA - 925-932-0100 - http://www.shermanclay.com/@wcree/wcreekstore.htm
) to showcase vocalists Ð and their pianists - playing magnificent Steinway
pianos in the natural acoustics of the intimate and distinctive surroundings
of The Steinway Room every Sunday in April at 5:00 pm.ÊEach performance
will be followed by a Post-Show Reception hosted by Sherman Clay.
The series kicks off on Sunday, April 6th with High Note Recording
Artist Wesla Whitfield, the celebrated interpreter of The Great American
Songbook who has performed everywhere from New YorkÕs Lincoln Center
and Carnegie Hall to The White House.ÊHer husband/pianist/arranger
Mike Greensill is a two-time winner of Outstanding Jazz Pianist by
the San Francisco Council on Entertainment.
The series continues on April 13th with Meg Mackay & Billy Philadelphia
(San FranciscoÕs First Couple of Cabaret);ÊApril 20th: Russ Lorenson
(Star of Benedetto/Blessed: A Tribute To Tony Bennett) & Kelly Park
(Mercer Ellington Jazz MasterÕs Award);ÊApril 27th: Emmy-Award-featured
Singer & Actress ML Parr on with Richard Nelson Hall (Musical Director
& Pianist for the long-running hit - Tribute to The Rat Pack).
