TERESE GENECCO PRESENTS "LAST PARTY" LATE NIGHT SATURDAYS
Beginning Saturday, February 23rd, Terese Genecco, the award-winning
vocalist, comedian, and bandleader, will be headlining in "LAST CALL!"
on Saturday nights at 10:30 pm at THE RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO
(222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-468-3399 - http://www.therrazzroom.com/
). After 10:30 pm, THE RRAZZ ROOM will become San Francisco's Hottest
New Nightclub, with Terese's retro-cool, 50's-style nightclub act, complete
with an 8-piece band featuring the West Coast's wildest jazz musicians.
Conformed additional dates are March 1st, 22nd & 29th, April 12th &
26th and May 3rd, 10th & 24th.
This is the closest thing you'll find to Vegas by the
Bay - the swingin'est nightclub act in town, as Terese Genecco throws
a musical party with her *little big band* in tow! All the hip cats
will be in the house for this weekly late-night musical celebration.
Artists appearing at the Rrazz Room in the 8 o'clock
show slots will sit in with Genecco and her band at the late show,
when available. Artists booked through June 2008 include Paula West,
Lainie Kazan, Diane Schuur, Maureen McGovern, Katey Sagal, Lynda Carter,
Ashford & Simpson, Jane Olivor, Bobby Caldwell, Oleta Adams, and others.
On Saturday February 23rd, Jack Costanzo - "Mr. Bongo"
- the legendary percussionist - now 84, who is credited with introducing
the bongos into American popular music with the Stan Kenton Orchestra
in the 50s, and who played with major celebrities including Judy Garland,
Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dinah Shore, Frances
Faye, and Nat "King" Cole, will be joining the band on their inaugural
show. Other band members will include local favorites Mike Greensill
on piano, Max Perkoff on trombone, Fil Lorenz on sax, with a rotating
roster of other West Coast jazz greats filling out the 8-pieces each
week.
Tickets $25 per person, plus a 2-beverage minimum.
