AUS: SLIDE CABARET FESTIVAL 2012 IN SYDNEY
SLIDE NEW MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL BAR (41 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, Sydney AUS - 1 300 658 009) has announced its 1st Annual Cabaret Festival - a month-long celebration from Monday, February 6th through Saturday, March 6th. For this one dazzling month, SLIDE will feature over 23 artists from the USA, France and Australia including interstate artists from Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Pop and TV stars, comedians and cabaret divas join the fabulous festival lineup including:
Phil Scott (Priscilla, Wharf Revue)
Michael Griffiths (Jersey Boys, Adelaide Cabaret Festival)
Marney McQueen (Hairspray)
El Circo
David Raleigh (NYC)
Toby Francis (2010 Cabaret Showcase Winner)
Catherine Alcorn (The Divine Miss Bette, Monday Night Live)
Marika Aubrey (Redhead).
The program, produced and curated by Slide's Catherine Alcorn (Marketing Manager) and Marc Kuzma (Creative Director), presents Sydney with a delightfully diverse selection of theatre, musical theatre and cabaret shows perfectly suited to align with the Mardi Gras season. Cabaret Festival goers will have the choice between enjoying a two course fine dining and show experience from $70.00 or show only viewing from $25.00 whilst sipping on cocktails up on the mezzanine, all the while absorbing the vaudevillian vibe and sophistication of Slide.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6th - FESTIVAL OPENING NIGHT
Patrons will be invited to walk the red carpet and witness a star-studded line-up of talented cabaret artists featured in the Festival. Festival opening night will include sneak peek performances from the artist roster. This inaugural event is hugely anticipated with limited general public tickets available for $30.00 including a glass of sparkling on arrival thanks to our sponsors at Kissing Bridge Australia.
