http://www.bostoncabaret.com/tickets.html ). The show is a fundraising event that features three of the organization's top performers in a program of cabaret, jazz and pop songs. Featured Performers are singer/actress/educator Celia Slattery, David Thorne Scott and Mark Shilansky. Mr. Shilansky also serves as musical director.
Starting in September, Statlers launches UPSTAIRS CABARET in the POLAR ICE LOUNGE (487 Church Street, Toronto, ON - 416-962-1209 -
http://www.statlersonchurch.com/ ), with traditional one-hour cabaret shows. This intimate 40+seat venue will feature a broad range of solo artists from the theatre, standards and jazz, roots, and singer/songwriter pop, in an exclusive environment that evokes the small performance venues that dot Manhattan's nightclub scene. NYC cabaret alumnus George Evans is booking the series, and each hand-picked artist will bring a unique show created just for us.
BACA (Boston Association of Cabaret Artists -

) is combining its annual meeting on Saturday, June 21st at THE BLACKSMITH
HOUSE (56 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA), with a half-day cabaret
conference that features two workshops each hour from 10:00 am to
1:00 pm. The workshops are preceded by a welcome and introduction
to the day at 9:45 am and followed by a 1/2 hour annual meeting at
1:00 pm where the new BACA Board will be announced and introduced,
an members will receive an update of BACA Board Year, plus a future
vision and roadmap for BACA. Cost is $25 - $20 for members of BACA.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT! BACA (Boston Association of Cabaret Artists -

a major event of the Boston arts scene that takes place over four
days in March at the intimate BLACKSMITH HOUSE from Thursday, March
13th through Sunday, March 16th. The March Cabaret Festival draws
on the talents of BACA members to present Boston area audiences with
a sampling of cabaret showcases lasting from 15 to 60 minutes each,
along with a master class in the art of cabaret performance by renowned
vocalist Rebecca Parris.
