LONDON: AMERICAN SONGBOOK IN LONDON AT PIZZA IN THE PARK

After 2 extremely successful AMERICAN SONGBOOK IN LONDON seasons, renowned performer and impresario Jeff Harnar will host two week seasons from a dazzling array of New York's most important performers transferring their critically acclaimed shows directly from New York's celebrated nightspots such as the Cafe Carlyle, The Algonquin and The Metropolitan Room to London's famed PIZZA ON THE PARK (11 Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Corner, London - TKTS: 08456 027 017).

Harnar will inaugurate THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK IN LONDON with the London debut of a new show based on his most recent recording, 'Dancing In The Dark' from March 3rd through 9th - with a with a black tie gala on opening night.

Laying the groundwork for an unprecedented spring season at PIZZA ON THE PARK, Harnar will be followed by MGM and Broadway star Liliane Montevecchi who returns to London with "Back on the Boulevard" March 10th through 21st.

Direct from the Oak Room of New York's fabled Algonquin Hotel, long time Pizza on the Park favorite Steve Ross celebrates his third year with the series as he performs the songs of Alan Jay Lerner in "I Remember Him Well" from March 24th through April 4th.

American singer, songwriter and pianist Tony DeSare makes his London debut with the show "Mercer, Moon River and Me," celebrating the centennial of legendary lyricist Johnny Mercer from April 7th through 18th.

KT Sullivan pays tribute to Jerome Kern from April 21st through May 2nd.

San Francisco jazz sensation Paula West performs May 5th through 16th.

Two time Grammy Award nominee Maureen McGovern performs the show based on her new CD "A Long and Winding Road," celebrating the singer/songwriters of the 1960s such as Lennon & McCartney, Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon, May 19th through 30th.

Andrea Marcovicci returns for her second year with the series from June 2nd through 13th with her show 'Andrea Marcovicci sings Rodgers and Hart'.

Another series regular, Maude Maggart appears from June 16th through 27th with "Speaking of Dreams".

Harnar's presentation of sophisticated live entertainment on a nightly basis marks a welcome return to the original operations of Pizza on the Park in the 1980s and 1990s where, under the stewardship of company founder Peter Boizot, it was renowned as the most vibrant and exciting intimate night club in the city, beloved by many Londoners.

Performances for each series are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm, with added shows on Fridays & Saturdays at 10:30 pm, Sundays at 7:00 & 7:00 pm and Mondays at 7:45 pm.
